Bees are wonderful creatures. Apart from providing you with honey, they produced several other things which can provide
you with a natural health boost. Propolis and Bee Pollen are the other two main ones.
Propolis
Propolis is what the bees use themselves to protect their hive
from infection, and its natural antifungal properties could benefit you too.
Use
a tincture or ointment to treat fungal infections. It is often recommended for treating athletes foot.
It
is also very good for helping you fight coughs, colds, and flu. An old trick of beekeepers was to use a piece of propolis
to soothe their sore throats.
Like most truly natural producs,
there can naturally be quite a bit of variation in quality and potency of propolis depending on its source. As bees in different
areas will forage on different flowers and trees, this results in differing qualities of the propolis produced.
Bee Pollen
Considered
one of nature's wonder foods, bee pollen is packed nutrients, vitamins, and minerals. Use pollen granules to sprinkle on your
breakfast. Or for those who don't quite like the taste of the granules, you can get bee pollen in capsules as well.
Generally pollen sourced from a mixture of floral sources is going to provide
a better balance of nutirents.
